Insulated Glass
Insulated Glass Units, or IGUs, consist of two or more panes of glass separated by a spacer and sealed to form a single unit. The cavity between the panes is often filled with argon or krypton gas, which significantly improves thermal insulation. IGUs are designed to reduce heat transfer, condensation, and noise, making them essential for energy-efficient buildings. The process begins with precisely cut and cleaned glass panes, which are then assembled with a spacer bar containing a desiccant to absorb moisture. A primary sealant is applied to the spacer, and the unit is closed with a durable secondary seal — typically silicone or polysulfide — to ensure long-term performance and airtightness. We manufacture double and triple-glazed units with options such as Low-E coatings, solar control glass, laminated inner layers, and custom spacer colors. Our IGUs meet or exceed energy codes and are tested for thermal performance, seal durability, and visual quality.
