Tempering
Tempering is a thermal process that strengthens glass by heating it to approximately 620–670°C (1,150–1,240°F) and then rapidly cooling it using high-pressure air jets. This creates internal compression in the surface layers and tension in the center, dramatically increasing the strength and resistance of the glass. Tempered glass is up to five times stronger than standard annealed glass and is classified as safety glass. In case of breakage, it shatters into small, blunt fragments that are far less likely to cause injury. This makes it ideal for applications where safety, durability, and compliance with building codes are essential — such as shower doors, railings, glass doors, and partitions. Our tempering line is equipped with advanced quality control systems to ensure optimal flatness, clarity, and edge integrity. We temper clear, low-iron, tinted, frosted, and patterned glass — cut and fabricated to exact dimensions before entering the furnace.
